They interviewed him from backstage. Jericho said he did everything he could to encourage Michaels to victory. He said he has the heart of a champion. He said he's held a lot of championships over the years, just like his IC Title. Jericho said he hasn't been defending the IC Title often enough, and from now on he's going to defend it every chance he gets. They began to fade the screen to commercial, but Jericho interjected and said since Michaels is watching from home, he wanted to dedicate his match to Michaels. Read more?

Vince makes the match. Jericho tells Vince his theme song needs some updated and gives it a rock edge. Cryme Tyme are here now. They take away Regal's pictures for an auction. ---- Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels They circle and go into a collar and elbow tie-up. They work a couple of counterholds and side headlock takeovers and stand off to cheers for both men. Michaels goes to the arm but Jericho counters and gains control of Shawn's limb and wrenches it. Chris Jericho: “I wanted to get a Paul McCartney Hofner bass- the kind that looks like a violin. I looked for about nine years to find one that was legit. Then one day, about six months ago, I went to a music store about 10 minutes from my house, and hanging from the ceiling was a Hofner that was a 1968 original. It was really cool because I finally got the Holy Grail of bass guitars.”

Jericho said he's the mighty Batista and he knows he's better than him, with a dose of sarcasm added. He said maybe he should just forfeit the match. "Or maybe I'll just beat the living hell out of you tonight and take out the rest of my aggressions against Shawn Michaels at One Night Stand." Batista said Jericho and Michaels beat the hell out of each other last night and he's in no shape to compete. Jericho wished him luck tonight.
