Chris Jericho enters the ring and grabs the mic. He tells Rey Mysterio to be afraid, because in 48 hours, he is going to expose the true face of hypocrisy when he takes off Reys mask and exposes his true identity to the world. He says that Rey is the ultimate hypocrite, even worse than all of the fans. Rey is hero to them all yet he refuses to show his face to anyone. But they still glorify him. He says that this Sunday at Extreme Rules, there are no rules, there are No Holds Barred, which means he will do whatever he has to do to desecrate and demolish Mysterio until he’s begging for mercy as he rips the mask of his face, exposing him and ruining his life. Then he says he will beat Rey and become the Intercontintental Champion for the 9th time. R Truths music interrupts him. He comes to the ring, and asks Chris ‘What’s up?’. Chris stares at him and lowers the microphone from his face.

Extreme Rules 2009 - Results

Digitals ¦¦ High Quality Captures ¦¦ Video 2 -- IC champion REY MYSTERIO vs. CHRIS JERICHO -- Intercontinental Title match -- No Holds Barred Bell sounded and Rey jumped Jericho right off the bat. Match moved to the floor where Rey rammed Jericho into the announce table, then picked up the table cover and smashed Jericho with it. Rey blasted Jericho into the ring steps, then hit a splash off the top rope on the floor. Rey in control as they moved back into the ring where Rey scored a two count on a roll-up, then Jericho rolled through into a pin with a hook of the tights for a two count. Jericho tried to follow with a roll-through on a sunset flip into the double-foot dropkick, but Jericho with a sweet counter into an inside cradle for a two count. Jericho popped up and smashed Rey in the head. Rey played dead, then Jericho chucked Rey stomach-first across the mat through the ropes and into the guardrail on the fly. Read more?

Digitals ¦¦ High Quality Captures In-ring: Chris Jericho came to the ring for the TV main event. He then addressed Rey Mysterio, saying Rey is nothing more than the ultimate hypocrite. Jericho said he embarrassed Rey and his mission on Sunday is tearing the mask off Rey to expose his hypocritical face to the entire world. After that, he will vanquish him and become IC champion for the ninth time. He polled the crowd on whether they understand the words coming out of his mouth. Crowd answered with boos. R-Truth comes out and asks Jericho what's up and calls him a hypocrite. He then asks if he thinks he's a thug and says things are about to get bad and that's the truth. Jericho gets the win after a Codebreaker. After the match Rey Mysterio comes out and attacks.
