Chris Jericho’s music interrupts Rey who is on the mic in ring. He asks Rey if the No Holds Barred match at Extreme Rules will be ‘off the hook’ when he hits Rey with a steel chair to the head and causes brain damage, or when he wins the Intercontinental Title and then embed it in the side of his face and disfigure him forever. He asks him if those possibilities will be off the hook again. Jericho says that Rey had no idea what he’s getting himself into. Rey tells Chris to shut up, and he says that Jericho’s words don’t mean anything, because the last time Jericho gave his word about the fans not seeing a 619, he hit it, and when Jericho said he would become the new IC champion, Rey beat him. He says that Jericho also promised to beat Mickey Rourke, but he ended up being knocked out by him. Rourke is ringside.

Highlight below if you want to see what happens: Rey Mysterio came out talking about Extreme Rules. Chris Jericho came out and noting Rourke was at ringside, called him out. Rey and Jericho began to brawl but when Rey set him up for the 619, Jericho bailed. There was a backstage bit where Chris Jericho implied he wasn't going to tag Edge tonight during their tag match. *Rey Mysterio & Jeff Hardy vs. WWE champ Edge & Chris Jericho. Jericho didn't come out, then hit the ring from the crowd while dressed as a fan and laid out Mysterio. With Mysterio unable to compete, Hardy declared he'd take them both on in a handicap match. Edge pinned Hardy.

He goes for a pin after only a few seconds of the match starting but Jericho kicks out quickly. They go into the corner and Punk delivers a couple of fists to the face but Jericho counters with a kick to the stomach. Jericho goes for a springboard dropkick but Punk moves out of the way and Chris falls to the outside of the ring. Punk rams Jericho into the ring a couple of times before getting him back in the ring and pinning him for a 2 count. Punk goes for the GTS but Jericho counters. He hit’s a few hard shots to Punk’s head and kicks him. He back suplex’s Punk and goes for a pin but Punk kicks out. Read more?

Josh asks Chris about his match against CM Punk but then he wants to know about the match at Judgment Day. Jericho wonders if he is wrestling Rey Mysterio and he will not let Josh use his propaganda methods. Jericho says that CM Punk’s popularity is not related to his Straight Edge lifestyle. It is because of the Money in the Bank briefcase. Just like the WWE Universe thinks that they have potential. Greatness is being the best in the world at what you do. Chris says that he is greatness and Punk will have his brush with greatness. Match Number Three: CM Punk versus Chris Jericho They lock up and Jericho with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.
